I’m thinking we follow in the footsteps of the STL Bloggers and meet at Growlers Pub on Olive and Old Ballas. It’s a nice central location.

I’m in favor. A smaller group at first can be accommodated at Growler’s, but as we grow, you’ll want to consider places with breakout rooms or more open settings. Something to discuss when we meet.

Kaldi’s coffee is a good place to do it. There’s a room in the back in the one in Chesterfield, but the ones in Kirkwood and Clayton would work as well.
Considering the time of day we’re meeting, it would be less crowded and less chance of getting squeezed out by a drinking crowd. Makes it more of a business meeting and less of a social one as well - allowing people to grab drinks afterwards if they want.

If it’s a social media group, maybe we could meet on a website with an instant chat or some such. Just a thought.

My calendar is already starting to get full. What is the latest here guys? Have we confirmed a time and place?
I would argue that despite it being a social ‘media’ group, we need to meet first and introduce ourselves. I, for one, would like the opportunity to meet like minded folks. Kaldi’s or a coffee shop is fine (for a more quiet environment) but I’d chose a pint over a cup any day.

Hi, I was one of the organizers for the meetup at Growlers, and would recommend a different location. There were a lot of problems with parking, it was more expensive than other locations we have hosted one at, and the wait staff left something to be desired. I would vote for a coffee house - Kaldi’s works well for things like this and we would be supporting local business. The Clayton location is very central

I second the motion for Kaldi’s. And I’d propose late afternoon, say, around 3 or 4 p.m. It doesn’t split the day, I leaves the evenings for family and (selfishly) doesn’t conflict with a previous engagement on Saturday morning.
