On June 3, we will host an event focused on crowdfunding which will also serve as the kickoff event for Steve Ewing's crowdfunding campaign to expand Steve's Hot Dogs on the Hill. We will feature local crowdfunders who have had success launching a startup or growing their business with sites like Indiegogo and Kickstarter. 

Travis Sheridan (@TravisSheridan) will help us moderate the panel, which will include Corey Smale of Strange Donuts (@StrangeDonuts) and Jamey Stegmaier of Stonemeier Games (@JameyStegmaier). Today, we're highlighting panelist Jamey Stegmaier to showcase the talent we'll have at this event.

Jamey Stegmaier is a writer/blogger, game designer, entrepreneur, and owner of a board game publishing company, Stonemaier Games. He writes a series of Kickstarter Lessons for aspiring project creators at stonemaiergames.com. Jamey has had a lifelong passion for playing and designing board games and grew up playing strategy games such as chess, Stratego, Key to the Kingdom, and Risk.

In order to fund his passion, Jamey looked to Kickstarter for funding. He has run 4 successful Kickstarter campaigns, raising over $800,000 from over 10,000 backers. His three most successful campaigns were in the board game category: 

• Viticulture (August 2012): 942 backers, $65,980 raised

• Euphoria (May 2013): 4,765 backers, $309,495 raised

• Tuscany (March 2014): 4,333 backers, $450,333 raised
